# Set up your account

Get FlowFlex ready to send WhatsApp messages by connecting your number, adding contacts and inviting your team.

You do these steps once, in this order. New to FlowFlex? Start with [Sign up and sign in](/get-started/sign-up-and-sign-in.md). When you finish, you can send broadcasts and run flows.

Alex Lee, the admin at Rangoli Store, works through this list on day one. By the evening the store's WhatsApp number is connected, its repeat buyers are imported, a Diwali sale template is waiting for Meta's approval, and Chris Taylor and Jordan Brown have their invites.

## Set up FlowFlex

1. **Connect WhatsApp.** Link your WhatsApp Business number through Meta. See [Connect a WhatsApp channel](/whatsapp-setup/connect-channel.md).
2. **Complete your profile.** Add a description, address, email and website to the channel. See [Connect a WhatsApp channel](/whatsapp-setup/connect-channel.md#connect-the-number).
3. **Add contacts.** Import contacts under **Audience**, or let them arrive from WhatsApp chats. See [Import and export](/audience/import-export.md).
4. **Create a template.** Write a message and get it approved by Meta. See [Create a template](/whatsapp-setup/create-template.md).
5. **Add wallet balance.** Messages are paid from your wallet under **Billing**. See [Billing and wallet](/account/billing-and-wallet.md).
6. **Invite your team.** Add teammates and give each one a role. See [Teams](/account/teams.md).

## Then choose what to do

* **Message many contacts at once** with a [broadcast](/broadcasts/overview.md).
* **Reply automatically or run a customer journey** with a [flow](/workflows/overview.md).
* **Trigger messages from your own app or website**, such as order updates, with the [developer quick start](/integrations/custom-integration/quick-start.md).
